Robin and I decided to spend Banjo’s second birthday together as our small family unit. It turned out to be quite an epic day. First, we cleaned the house in preparation for a prospective buyer, then we hopped on the DART train and headed downtown to the Dallas World Aquarium. It’s a pretty cool place, and we were able to let Benjamin walk/run and enjoy the exhibits at his own frantic pace. His enjoyment of the stroller these days is limited to our family walks and runs, followed by the promise of something better when we are done, such as the park, or food.
After lunch and a late nap, we went for a swim, after which we ordered a pizza, opened more presents, had ice cream & cake and watched Toy Story 2. Robin is now trying to put him down for good; it’s 11:40 pm.
What a great day, an incredible two years, and (here’s the best part) a lifetime to go!
